Hey There!
I hope you are having an amazing start to your summer. I wanted to give you a quick shout and let you know what I've been up to and say... Fulfillment is officially complete for Turner Family Terrors Issue #4. Nice!
That's a wrap on TFT #4.
Our final wave of digital rewards went out earlier this year and our physical books were shipped this Spring. The final cherry on top was our first ever TFT Makeover given to me by my daughter - truly terrifying, but somehow I survived.
I hope this latest chapter of the TFT saga didn't offended you, too much. (If anyone did not receive their books, shoot me a DM and we'll get that rectified.)
What have I been up to? A couple of things.
These past few months have been busy as ever as I produced my first ever children's book, Henry Doodle Don't. Congrats to author Kelly Doucet on her insanely successful Kickstarter campaign (way to go Big Sis!)
And the second huge commitment turned out to be, surprisingly enough, Softball? Yes, I got roped into another season of Head Coaching my kid's team. For the first time ever I switched over to the girl's side of the diamond. (girls rule, boys drool) It was all consuming, but as usual, incredibly rewarding and a joy hanging out with my daughter. We even won the Culver City Championship, Huzzah!
So what's next for TFT?
Now with the Softball season in the books, we'll be turning our attention to the trade paperback Volume one of TFT. We are looking to have the entire collection of comics, Anthology work, Pinups, Variant Covers, commentary, plus additional stories. The works! I'll keep everyone posted on our progress.

Progress Report: Books Being shipped! plus Henry Doodle is a Project They Love!

Hey There-
I wanted to give you a quick progress report. The book have arrived - Woohoo! Once again I am up to my neck in Gemini mailers and comic book boards and bags. It's great to see so many familiar faces back supporting our comic, it means a lot.
I have shipped 30% of the books and hope to have everything sent by the end of next week. At that point I will lock our digital version and email that as well. My daughter has official given me my TFT makeover (photos to come...). The final detail will be picking up the T-shirts (we ended up going with a different vendor, so those took a little extra time, but they look cool as hell). In other news...
Henry Doodle is a Hit!
My sister, Kelly Doucet's children's book, Henry Doodle DON'T, is a hit! I've helped produce the book as well as given her my Kickstarter 2 cents, and I couldn't be happier for her. She met her initial funding target in 24 hours! Henry was selected as a 'Project We Love'. And the book rocketed up the hot list, topping both the Children's Books and All Publishing Projects. Pretty amazing! Plus she's only $200 away from reaching her first stretch goal. I wanted to give you a quick progress report for TFT issue #4. The proofs arrived recently and they look Marvelous...
Comix Well Spring informed me they are moving facilities this week, so there has been a slight delay. But they've promised the books will be shipped midweek, then I'll get them and send'em your way. Thx for your patience. You guys rock.

Happy New Year. I hope yours is off to a fantastic start. I wanted to give you a quick progress report for TFT issue #4. The books have been locked and I placed our order with the printers on Friday. Super excited about this. I wrote this first story arc 5 years ago, and I'll soon have the fourth and final issue in my hands (and yours) very soon. Psyched. I've already received the stickers, mini-prints, and the T-shirts should be on their way. So physical rewards should be going out in the coming weeks. Woohoo!
I sent your first wave of digital rewards on Dec 17th to your email's inbox. Those are available in your personal email, also you can always access those rewards on the Kickstarter website - simply go to Kickstarter click on "Messages" and search for my name and you will find the links. Meet Henry Doodle!
I wanted to give you a heads up about another project I'm working on. It's a children's book titled Henry Doodle Don't!, written by the super talented Kelly Doucet - my sister! A year ago Kelly told me that I had inspired her. I was like "What the hell are you talking about?" She told me she's had an idea for a children's book for a while and this year she was going to make it happen. She told me that watching me get out there and churn out books, hitting Kickstarter, meeting fans, it all inspired her to finally make her book a reality.
Not gonna lie - that gave me the feels. I told her I'd love to help any way I could. She said she just needed a little help finding an artist... and an editor... and a designer... and what's up with this whole Kickstarter thing? While I was talking with her, it dawned on me that this sounded like a hell of a lot of work, and I'm a pretty busy guy, so I was starting to rethink this whole endeavor. Plus she's probably not paying me anything. Screw this... I kid, I kid. I'm so proud of my big sis! Her book looks charming and whimsical and heartfelt and funny - I can't wait to share it with everyone on Kickstarter in a month or two. Stay tuned for that.

Finally if you are itching to back another project today make sure to pick up the latest Matador! Stephen Prince is back with MONSTER MATADOR: ONCE UPON SOME MONSTERS IN MEXICO #1-2 . I picked up the "Cobra" homage Variant Cover. Fun Fact: For my fifth grade graduation my Dad took me to go see Cobra. I remember fondly the motorcycle chase where Stallone shoots 72 bad guys in a 2 minute span. Ahh, wonderful memories, me and my Dad, murder, the eighties...
